ABOUT jasmyn marie


Jasmyn Marie is a Los Angeles–based contemporary artist whose practice transforms preserved botanical matter into sculptural works that explore impermanence, memory, place, and the tension between preservation and change.
Working primarily with dried flowers, resin, and unconventional botanical materials, Jasmyn preserves organic forms while intentionally allowing their natural irregularities, distortions, and imperfections to remain visible. Rather than treating flowers as decorative arrangements, she approaches them as material - objects carrying traces of time, transformation, and lived experience.
Her works often exist between sculpture, installation, and botanical abstraction. Flowers become embedded within dark, fragmented forms; stems protrude from surfaces; petals collapse, overlap, or remain suspended in unexpected configurations. These physical disruptions challenge the traditional expectation that preservation should result in perfection. Instead, Jasmyn embraces the contradiction inherent in attempting to preserve something inherently ephemeral.
Jasmyn Marie’s work has been exhibited at Forest Lawn Museum, Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center, dnj Gallery, and Liggett Studio, among other venues. Her work has also been featured in LUXE Interiors + Design.
She continues to develop a practice centered on the intersection of botanical material, sculpture, preservation, and contemporary ideas of place and impermanence.
